I love building things—whether it’s Legos, a shed, or software, I enjoy creating and seeing the results of my work. That passion for making and refining is what led me to engineering—and what draws me to photography.
A generation 1.5 immigrant from Hong Kong, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned a B.S. in EECS from U.C. Berkeley, a Ph.D. in ECE from U.C. Davis, and a U.S. patent (#US-6473401-B1) on my pioneering work on peer-to-peer content distribution. My career has taken me from startups to multinational corporations in Silicon Valley, and today, I’m a Tech Lead at Intel, balancing leadership, strategy, and hands-on coding.
Photography pulls me away from the screen, takes me to new places, and introduces me to people I wouldn’t otherwise meet. It even gives me an excuse to tinker with fun side coding projects. I love the way it blends technical precision with creativity.
Over the years, I’ve gone from hearing, “Hey, Keith, that’s a nice photo!” to “Hey, Keith, that’s an amazing shot—can I buy a print?” Enough of those moments made me realize something: my photography isn’t just a passion. It’s something people genuinely value.
So here I am, open for business.
